I call VW of America and say I am a "professional journalist" and ask them about the dune. Would they give me the full specs??? It seems like it would be too good to be true but I might try it.

VW is pretty loose with press credentials. Just tell them you are a blogger, which you technically are writing here. Worth a shot!
